Nursing Home Week 2019 proved to be one of the most exciting times to serve at Marycrest Manor. This week was replete with activities that involved the entire home, staff, residents, and sisters. There was a Carnival on Monday, featuring lots of games and dancing. Residents and staff planned special line dancing that delighted the hearts of the viewers present. Tuesday was the great Luau of Marycrest which was amusing Hawaiian fun. All of a sudden in the middle of the Luau, there was a fabulous rendition of “Tiny Bubbles” topped off with live bubble action that filled the Luau with magical suds! Wednesday celebrated the gift of compassion to our residents at our “Sharing the Mission” and the first recipient of our Mother Luisita Mission Award, given to our staff member, Angelica Larenas! We are proud of her hard work and growth here at Marycrest! The week was crowned by our final event of “Masquerade” that included loads of mask making fun, a delicious meal, and a surprise visit from the Phantom of the Opera! The week celebrated all of our caring and loving staff members who give of themselves tirelessly to serve the residents at Marycrest!
